Nestled amongst mountains and rivers and once crossed by Julius Caesar himself, the ancient village of Montpezat-sous-Bauzon is found in the heart of the Monts d'Ardeche Regional Park. Situated at the meeting point of the Fontaulière and Pourceille valleys, be seduced by not only Montpezat's picturesque countryside but also its rich history, and kind and friendly people.
Home to volcanoes, lakes, and natural springs on the northern plateau and renown, breath-taking gorges in the south, the convenient central location of our auberge makes it the ideal starting point for discovering the Ardeche region.
For hikers, numerous walking trails for all levels leave right from the auberge doorstep. You can wander the old cobble-stoned streets of the village or, for the more adventurous, climb up and explore the surrounding area, including Montpezat's 5 local volcanoes.
And for food lovers, we welcome you, lunch and dinner, to our restaurant where we offer you fresh, heart-warming, traditional cuisine prepared by our chef, using local, seasonal produce.
